Meet Our Staff

Pastor Ken is an Ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament within the Presbyterian Church (USA) and Solo Pastor at Calvary Presbyterian Church. He has preached on Theology and Christian Leadership in multiple churches throughout the National Capital Presbytery, as well as ecumenically in Michigan, North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, England, Germany, Iraq, and Israel. He is an advocate for the homeless and for Veterans, and serves as a volunteer chaplain for a Veteran organization in the DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) area.

Prior to his Seminary experiences, he held a Senior Executive Service position within the Federal Emergency Management Agency and coordinated federal support for 11 disasters within the US. Additionally, he had successful executive and strategic business experience with Wells Fargo Bank (Vice President) and Dawn Foods (Chief Customer Officer). As a Retired Army Colonel, he further served with distinction on the Army Senior Staff at the Pentagon and as Commander of 2,000 plus soldiers at the Brigade level during wartime. His meritorious combat service in Iraq and Afghanistan leading joint and interagency teams were instrumental in affirming his views on leadership and war reparations.

He has earned a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) and a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from  Wesley Theological Seminary, a Master of Strategic Studies (MSS) from the U.S. Army War College, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from  Monmouth University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. His highest military awards include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Combat Action Badge, and the Ancient Order of Saint Barbara Medallion. He has also earned the coveted Ranger Tab and the Army Parachutist Badge.
